Job Description: Clinical Psychologist/Educational Psychologist

 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist/Educational Psychologist to join our team at The Supporters for Educational Services and Development. As a Clinical Psychologist/Educational Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing counseling interventions for students with diverse learning and emotional needs. Your expertise and guidance will contribute to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for students' overall well-being and academic success.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges.

  • Diagnose and provide evidence-based counseling interventions for students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, emotional disorders, and other psychological concerns.

  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop appropriate strategies and interventions to support students' academic and socio-emotional development.

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' psychological and emotional needs.

  • Offer consultation and guidance to teachers and staff members regarding behavior management, classroom strategies, and the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Conduct research and analysis to contribute to the development and improvement of educational programs and interventions.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, counseling sessions, and progress reports.

  • Stay updated with current research, best practices, and ethical guidelines in the fields of clinical psychology and educational psychology.

  • Collaborate with other psychologists and professionals within the organization to share knowledge, resources, and expertise.

  • Attend relevant professional development trainings and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.

  • Provide flexibility in transportation to reach various settings, including schools, students' homes, and clinics, to deliver counseling services.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling to children and adolescents.

  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling modalities for diverse populations.

  • Understanding of learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and emotional disorders in the educational setting.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, educators, and other professionals.

  • Compassion, empathy, and the ability to establish a therapeutic rapport with students.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all professional activities.

  • Proficient in using technology for psychological assessment, documentation, and communication.

  • Possess flexibility in transportation to travel to different settings, including schools, students' homes, and clinics, as required.
